Exhibit: September 3-27, 2026
Receiving Day: September 1, 3:00-5:00 pm
Theme: Wings
Wings have long symbolized freedom, hope, transformation, strength, imagination, and adventure. They can be found in nature on birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and other creatures, or they can take flight in fantasy through angels, fairies, dragons, and mythical beings. Wings may also be symbolic—representing dreams, protection, new beginnings, or the courage to soar.
We invite artists to interpret “Wings” in their own unique way. Whether your work is realistic, abstract, whimsical, or symbolic, let your creativity take flight!
While we encourage artwork inspired by the theme, not every piece you enter must relate to “Wings.” Artists may submit up to five pieces of artwork. Any artwork measuring more than 40 inches by 40 inches will count as two entries toward the four-piece limit.

Theme: Roots and Boots
“Roots and Boots” celebrates the spirit, history, and natural beauty of LaBelle and the surrounding Florida landscape. This theme invites artists to explore the meaning of heritage—where we come from, what grounds us, and the traditions that continue to shape our community.
“Roots” may be interpreted in many ways: the strong, twisting roots of oak trees, the swamp cabbage (sabal palm) tree that is so deeply tied to Florida’s land and culture, or the deeper roots of family, history, and shared heritage that connect generations.
“Boots” speaks to the working spirit and everyday life of our region. It may reference worn cowboy boots, symbolizing ranching, farming, and tradition, or the practical boots worn in the swamp and riverlands—boots that have walked through mud, water, fields, and history itself.
Together, “Roots and Boots” honors both the land and the people of LaBelle—where natural beauty and human stories are intertwined.
We invite artists to interpret “Roots and Boots” in their own unique way. Whether your work is realistic, abstract, symbolic, or narrative, we encourage you to explore what heritage, place, and identity mean to you.
While we encourage artwork inspired by the theme, not every piece you enter must relate to “Roots and Boots.” Artists may submit up to five pieces of artwork. Any artwork measuring more than 40 inches by 40 inches will count as two entries toward the Three-piece limit.
