Diana Carkin

Diana is a midwestern girl transplanted to Florida.
She always loved to draw and paint but became more
serious about pursuing art after her retirement as an
early childhood educator.
Diana has done some work in acrylic but paints
primarily in watercolor. She enjoys the versatility of
watercolor, in that it can be bold and colorful or soft
and moody; detailed or loose and impressionistic.
She mostly paints landscapes, using photo references
from her travels around the country. Her art mentors
include Jim Ryon, Sharon Rapp and Barbara Swift.
Diana was involved in art associations in Missouri and
Florida and is currently a board member of Arts of the
Inland.
